Happy Monday!

Greetings! Here's our work today:

ELL 1/2 Social Studies
Today we completed a handout during class that helped us learn the names of each province and territory in Canada. Near the end of the class, we started making a map of Canada. Please don't do this map for homework - we'll do this in class so I can make sure you're doing it correctly each step of the way. Here are the steps that we covered in class:

  1. Draw a compass rose.
  2. Colour the lakes, rivers, and oceans blue. Please remember: Canada is not an island.
  3. Label (use capital letters for each of these):
    1. Provinces
    2. Territories
    3. Captial Cities
    4. Great Lakes and Oceans
  4. Colour the provinces and territories. Don't use blue. Please colour darkly and neatly.

ELL 3 Social Studies
Today we worked on the map of Canada. It's the same as the map above! Please make it neat and tidy - it counts and it's for marks!

ELL 1/2 Science
Today we took a look at the organelles of a cell. Here's some helpful reading that will help you understand these organelles. During the class we copied some notes from a presentation and kept them on a handout, "Anatomy of an Animal Cell".

ELL 3 English
Today we took a close look at paragraph writing and worked specifically on topic sentences.
