In Animal Farm, the animals are being
controlled by the pigs. Gradually, it seems the pigs are tricking the animals.
Napoleon is becoming a terrible, selfish pig, and is beginning to take over the
farm. In a way, Animal Farm is like a country with an evil government. Based on
what we have read in Animal Farm,
what does George Orwell believe we need to live in a successful country?
The animals
had so much hope that they would succeed, but Napoleon has taken over and the
animals have become scared. Many animals are hardworking, honest creatures,
while the pigs have become selfish. Orwell may be suggesting this kind of
failure is in our nature, or he may be suggesting that there are simply evil
people who want to become powerful. Was the revolution doomed to fail from the beginning?
