Today we'll be going over an introduction to the course and the expectations that come along with it. Our first item of business will be our introduction and the course outline. Please download and keep the following item:

For external students
Once that's done, it'll be time to provide a writing sample. The purpose of this sample is to show me where you are starting from. This will allow me to see your progress over the course of the month, and also inform me how to best help you improve your writing.
Topic: How will you make the best of online learning? How has this online learning environment changed the way you look at your education?

Then it'll be time for a break!
After that we'll look at the Elements of Fiction, and an example story we can look at together.
