English 12
We're moving towards synthesis writing and TED talks.

Synthesis writing takes place when we connect texts in order to respond to essay questions. If we use 1984 and this source to answer a question like, "Is censorship more harmful or helpful to those in power?" you would be writing a synthesis piece.

To create a synthesis question:

  1. Look at the topics presented in our core text. In this case, 1984. Find one that interests you.
  2. Create a question about this topic. It should be arguable and falsifiable.
