Today we began exploring our big question for the unit: What makes an interesting story?
Our discussion turned towards how we establish setting. We learned that:
- Setting can establish mood.
- Descriptive language can make a dull setting interesting.
- Figurative language is used to:
- Add depth to the meaning - this means you can convey more than one meaning at the same time using figurative language.
- Add emphasis

Today we wrote our final Question 3 practice. Not bad! We're not official on to our final creative project for the anthology: The Soliloquy.

Here's some advice: Take a few minutes each day to take a look at these terms. You have just under 2 months before the big test. Now's a great time to start putting a few minutes into getting ready.
